I have spent the last six months as Series Producer of ‘Print and Be Damned’ an authored four part series on the evolution of modern journalism. A tough series to deliver, its success is primarily down to a great production team: Director, Editors, Research, Crew, everyone. The series is Pick of the Week in The Sunday Times.
At The Park Studios in Dublin, I am a regular lecturer on TV Production techniques. It is a great privilege to work with the producers and directors of tomorrow – the standard really is exceptional. Modules that I have written include “The Business of Television,” “The Language of TV” “Dealing with Talent” and “Pitching and Presentation”.
I am a regular jury member at TV awards ceremonies, most recently the International Emmy® Awards and the IFTA awards 2013
As a board member of Screen Producers Ireland, I remain committed to developing the TV production sector at a time when the budgetary environment is tougher than ever.
For 2013, I have been making regular radio appearances commenting on current events across a number of stations. Radio is where I began my career and still excites me.
